Chip Ganassi Racing’s INDYCAR Teams Head to Road AmericaJune 10, 2022
Chip Ganassi Racing travels to one of America’s most iconic and historic race tracks this weekend. Known for its elevation changes and speed, this permanent road course is the longest on the calendar at 4.048 miles in length. A win this weekend would be significant for the CGR teams, as Ericsson, Palou, and Dixon currently sit second, fourth, and sixth in series points. It should also be noted that a driver has won at Road America before going on to win the NTT INDYCAR Series Championship on eight different occasions, including Scott Dixon (2020) and Alex Palou (2021).

Marcus Ericsson - No. 8 Huski Chocolate Honda
“Road America is one of the most beautiful and best tracks of the year. I really enjoy driving there. It produces really good racing and we’ve had really good runs there over the years. We are going to have a strong Honda as usual and we’re feeling confident from the last couple of races we’ve had.”
Scott Dixon - No. 9 PNC Bank Honda
“Road America race weekend, definitely one of the favorites for the drivers, crews and teams. Obviously, lots of history at this place but the circuit is one of the really cool, old school, American tracks. Elevation. High speed. Lots of commitment. Had a great race last year. We’ll work as hard as possible to try and get that PNC Bank No. 9 in Victory Lane.”
Alex Palou - No. 10 American Legion Honda
“Road America is my favorite track on the calendar. It’s super special for me as it was my first IndyCar podium in 2020 and we got the win last year. It’s an amazing race. Hopefully we can match what we did last year and get the first win of the season.”
Jimmie Johnson - No. 48 Carvana Honda
“Pumped to get to Wisconsin this weekend at Road America. I spent a lot of time in my younger days racing in ASA and off-road trucks. I’m happy to get back to that area and see some old friends and drive on such an epic and amazing racetrack. Excited to go and build upon last year's performance.”
