Women In Motorsports

In 2022, PNC Bank and Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) collaborated to launch Women In Motorsports Powered by PNC Bank with Chip Ganassi Racing. The initiative focused on showcasing female industry leaders and an internship designed to accelerate career pathways in motorsports for the next generation. Women In Motorsports brings an additional educational component to PNC’s active sponsorship with CGR, by providing a platform to fuel dialogue about the increasing importance of women as decision makers and influencers with employees, customers and race fans across the country.

Applications for the Summer 2025 Internship are open until September 30, 2024.

The students are immersed in on-site learning and career-development experiences with the CGR team during the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. They have the opportunity to work closely with race team managers and department leaders to assist on vital projects and collaboration with departments across the organization to assist with the team’s racing functions, such as racing operations, engineering to information technology, athletic training and more.

“We're extremely proud to continue providing more opportunities in our sport to some of the brightest young students”, said Team Owner Chip Ganassi. “Programs like this help to inspire the next generation of young talent into this sport that we are all so passionate about. Throughout the partnership that we enjoyed with PNC, we have created many programs together, but this program has become one of my favorites because we are not only providing an opportunity to these students, but I also believe these students are bringing fresh perspectives to our organization.”
