Richard Westbrook re-joins Chip Ganassi Racing for the 2023 World Endurance Championship season after a successful stint with the team’s sports car program from 2016-19.

Westbrook, 47, will co-drive the Cadillac entry alongside Earl Bamber and Alex Lynn in the WEC series where he will make his 13th appearance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He has finished third within his class in the historic endurance race on four occasions (2022; 2020; 2016; 2010).

The United Kingdom native has extensive sports car experience, including 77 starts in the IMSA series with 11 victories, 31 podiums and 10 pole positions.

Westbrook’s championship pedigree shined previously as the Porsche Supercup title-winner in 2006 and 2007, and the FIA GT2 champion in 2009.
