James Roe will join Chip Ganassi Racing in the No. 8 car for his fifth season in the INDY NXT by Firestone championship.

In 2025, Roe completed the season in twelfth, with four top-ten finishes. During this season, he achieved his best career finish of seventh on Iowa Speedway.

Before joining INDY NXT by Firestone, he raced USF Pro 2000 in 2021, FIA Formula Regional Americas in 2019-20, F2000 in 2018, and FIA F4 UAE in 2016-17.
