INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 13, 2025) – Chip Ganassi Racing has signed Cam Becker to its driver development program. At 11 years old, Becker is the first driver signed to the new program, which was announced by the team late last year.
Becker is the youngest ever champion of the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series. Winning six races and scoring 11 podium finishes in 15 races, Becker won the championship in late October. Next year, he will continue to compete and test across multiple open wheel disciplines.
Notes of Interest:
- Rocky Mountain Racer: From Highlands Ranch, Colorado, just outside Denver, Becker has accomplished a lot in his short racing career. In addition to his Lucas Oil Series achievements, Becker is the youngest ever race winner in Formula FARA, with additional championships in the Rotax US Trophy Final and the Kid Kart Championship. In 2026, Becker will drive in multiple races across various open wheel developmental series and test more powerful equipment when possible.
- Next Step in Driver Development Program: As the first driver signed to the program, Becker will have access to Chip Ganassi Racing’s state-of-the-art facilities in Indianapolis, physical, mental and media training, technical education, simulator training, business development and presence at select NTT INDYCAR SERIES events.
Quoteboard:
- Mike Hull, Managing Director, Chip Ganassi Racing: “Cam has a naturally born skill set and a genuine work ethic that fit perfectly with what we believe at Chip Ganassi Racing. What matters now is also shaping his mindset in our training program to become a complete INDYCAR driver; learning how to think, prepare, and perform at the highest level. Our job is to give him the tools, people, a winning understanding combined with a culture to develop into a complete racer. Stacking those blocks is where the real growth happens.”
- Cam Becker, Chip Ganassi Racing Development Driver: “My goal is to be an INDYCAR winner, just like the INDYCAR drivers at Chip Ganassi Racing. I’m thankful to be involved with one of the best teams in the world and want to learn as much as I can to be the best I can, on and off the track.”
