Extreme E Heads to Sardinia, Italy
Extreme E
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Extreme-E team is embarking on Round 2 this week in Sardinia, Italy. With the team returning for Extreme-E’s first-ever doubleheader, Kyle LeDuc and Sara Price are looking to continue to build momentum at the midway point of the season.
In the first race of the 2022 season held in Saudi Arabia, the No. 99 GMC HUMMER EV Chip Ganassi Racing team finished fourth. It was a good start for the team, knowing that vehicle upgrades would be coming as they enter Round 2 in Sardinia.
Since Saudi Arabia, Kyle and Sara have been preparing both physically and mentally. In May, the team was able to test the vehicle in France to fine-tune some of the new upgrades to the shocks and suspension system.
When the team hits the track in Italy, it will be the most consecutive time in the vehicle any of the drivers have spent to date.
The team had its most successful race last season in Sardinia with a fourth-place finish.
