“We were going for the win today and didn’t really have enough pace. We kind of battled with the leaders there and I felt good at the beginning but kind of fell off at the end. Good opportunity tonight to get that championship for the No. 10 DHL Honda. We know it’s going to be tough, but we’re going to try and fix the car a little bit and try and see if we can make it faster.”

“I don’t really know what happened. It seemed like the strategy had potential, the No. 9 PNC Bank Honda on older tires was super loose. So when I was left out on old tires it was just a mess. I had a really rough day on pit lane, which was really frustrating because it’s normally super solid so anytime you try to do the undercut, even going overcut, which is non-existent. I don’t know. It’s just frustrating.”

“Kind of frustrating first race here in Milwaukee, well, second race, first race, I don’t know anymore. Just couldn’t really get the car to work for us very well and we had some issues on the first stop that really messed us up and put us on the back foot from the stop. We’ll try to make some changes to the No. 8 Sunoco Honda and make it better for race two and have a better race two.”
