Chip Ganassi Racing’s No. 99 GMC HUMMER EV team wrapped up their third season of Extreme E competition ranking fifth in the championship standings. RJ Anderson, Amanda Sorensen and the No. 99 team exhibited their consistency throughout the season, advancing to compete in the Grand Final in seven of the 10 rounds.
This marks the second consecutive season the GMC HUMMER EV team has finished within the top-five of the overall standings.
While the team was unable to advance to the Final today, they ended their season on a high note with a victory in the Redemption Race.
Anderson battled for the lead and ultimately seized frontrunner position in the opening stint before handing driving duties over to Sorensen, who crossed the finish line with a 14.909-second margin of victory.
“This was a testing weekend here in Chile, so I am pumped to be able to bring home this win. We put our best foot forward,” said Anderson afterward. “You’re racing the best of the best here in Extreme E and I think any team can win on race day. The Chip Ganassi Racing team gave us the best car possible each weekend and we just didn’t get that win in the Final that we had been hoping for.”
