INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 11, 2026) — On Friday, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES will take to the streets of Markham, Ontario, for the first time. Chip Ganassi Racing hopes to match the success it achieved at downtown Toronto’s Exhibition Place circuit, where the steady growth of Kyffin Simpson’s young NTT INDYCAR SERIES career accelerated last year.
Coming from 13th on the grid, Simpson and the No. 8 team combined outright pace, excellent strategy and quick pit stops to score his first INDYCAR podium. It was a statement performance for the Caymanian driver, finally claiming a trophy in just his second year in the series.
In 2026, Simpson has matched last year’s six top-10 finishes with five races to go. He has improved his average finish by 1.3 positions through 13 races. It’s only a matter of time before Simpson returns to the podium, and it could come when INDYCAR returns to Canada this weekend.
